Roxul or Rockwool insulation
Roxul or Rockwool insulation provides significantly better thermal performance compared to standard glass fiber batts. It can achieve a thermal insulation value of R24 versus R19 - R21 for a 2x6 wall cavity, a significant improvement when considering total building envelope performance. ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation is made from natural stone and contains up to 40% recycled content, which gives it unique characteristics that other insulation's can’t match. The higher density batts reduce airflow with the wall cavity, reducing convective losses. This translates into a better performing and more comfortable thermal wall. Fiberglass products
